BAKTRIA, Indo-Greek Kingdom. Strato I, circa 105-85/0 BC. AE (Bronze, 21x24 mm, 10.26 g, 12 h). [Β]ΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟΥΣ ΣΟΤΗΡΟΣ ΣΤΡΑΤΩΝΟ[Σ] Apollo standing facing, holding arrow in his right hand and bow in his left. Rev. 'Maharajasa tratarasa dhramikasa Stratasa' ('Of the Great King Strato the Just Saviour in Kharoshti) Tripod; to left, monogram. Bopearachchi 31D. HGC 12, 348. An unusually attractive example with a lovely dark patina. Light pitting on the obverse, otherwise, good fine.
